  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon; cook for about 4-5 minutes until softened.
  2. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry; add to the apple mixture and cook for another minute until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Flatten each biscuit into a round shape and place one tablespoon of apple filling in the center. Seal tightly by folding over the edges.
  5. Dip each bomb in melted butter and roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Place on the baking sheet seam-side down and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
