  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 1 tbsp instant dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk until lukewarm and combine it with softened butter, eggs, bread flour, yeast, granulated sugar, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  2. Knead on a floured surface until smooth and elastic. Let rise in a greased bowl covered with a towel until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  3. Prepare the filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  4. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly over it. Cut into strips and braid.
  5. Place braided buns on a lined baking sheet to rise again for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush buns with egg wash and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
