  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional, walnuts or pecans)
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash and dry the apples; core them without piercing the bottom.
  3. Drizzle lemon juice inside each apple to prevent browning.
  4. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
  5. Add brown sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, salt, and sour cream; mix until well combined.
  6. Fold in crushed graham crackers and optional chopped nuts.
  7. Fill each apple with cheesecake mixture and place them upright in a baking dish.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes until tender; remove foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until tops are golden brown.
  9. Cool for 10 minutes before drizzling with caramel sauce.
