  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 tube (8-count) crescent roll dough
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs (optional for added crunch)
  • 2 tablespoons butter for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix cooked shredded chicken, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, black pepper, and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Roll out the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Flatten slightly.
  4. Spoon the chicken mixture onto the widest part of each triangle and fold over edges to seal.
  5. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle panko breadcrumbs if desired.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. While baking, melt butter in a saucepan; whisk in flour, then gradually add milk and cream. Stir in grated Parmesan until thickened.
  8. Serve warm with the creamy sauce drizzled on top.
