  • 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 1/4 tsp coarse salt
  • 1 2/3 cup warm water
  • Pear
  • Pearl onions
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Thinly sliced red onion
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Coarse salt
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Mix the Dough: In a large bowl, combine bread flour, yeast, and coarse salt. Stir in warm water until a shaggy dough forms. Cover and let sit overnight.
  2. Shape Your Dough: The next day, drizzle olive oil in a casserole dish. Transfer the risen dough into the dish, spreading it out gently. Dimple the surface with fingers and drizzle more olive oil on top. Let rise for another two hours.
  3. Preheat & Decorate: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Decorate your focaccia using rosemary for branches, pear slices for the trunk, and cherry tomatoes and pearl onions as ornaments.
  4. Bake & Enjoy: Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
