  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Cream softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition; stir in vanilla.
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients with sour cream to the butter mixture until combined.
  6. Mix in milk gently until smooth.
  7. For the cinnamon swirl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon; drizzle melted butter into this mixture.
