  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for sautéing onions)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté sliced onions until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, sautéed onions, French onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, eggs, shredded cheese, and parsley. Mix gently.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for approximately one hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). For extra cheesiness, add more cheese on top during the last ten minutes.
