  • 2 cinnamon sticks

  • 1 star anise pod (optional)
  • Maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, apple slices, cinnamon sticks, ground nutmeg, and star anise. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add black tea bags or loose leaf tea to the saucepan and steep for an additional 3-5 minutes according to your desired strength.
  3. Remove tea bags or strain the mixture into cups, discarding solid ingredients.
  4. Sweeten with maple syrup or your preferred sweetener if desired. Stir well and enjoy.
