  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks)

  • 2 cups celery (diced)
  • 1/3 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup fresh sage (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups chicken/turkey broth
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F. Tear or cut bread into bite-sized pieces and toast in the oven for about an hour.
  2. Chop onion and celery while bread is toasting.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté onions and celery until softened (7-10 minutes).
  4. Combine toasted bread, sautéed vegetables, salt, pepper, and herbs in a large bowl.
  5. Whisk together broth and eggs in another bowl; pour over the bread mixture, gently mixing until moistened.
  6. Grease a baking dish with softened butter, transfer mixture, cover with foil, and bake at 350°F for about 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 25-35 minutes until golden brown.
