  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin puree

  • 1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for brûlée topping)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla paste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the pie crust into a tart pan or individual ramekins and bake until golden brown. Cool.
  2. Combine granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl. Whisk in one egg and water, then mix in the pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice mix, grated orange peel, sweetened condensed milk, and two eggs until smooth.
  3. Pour the filling into the prepared crust and bake for about 40 minutes until set with a slight jiggle in the center.
  4. After cooling completely, sprinkle an even layer of sugar over the chilled filling. Use a kitchen torch to caramelize until golden brown.
