  • 1/4 cup ice water
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and sugar. Cut in cold butter until crumbly, then stir in ice water. Form into a disk and chill for 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and fit it into a pie pan, pricking the bottom with a fork.
